Meet Ben Golden, Certified Tax Planner and Enrolled Agent
Throughout my postgraduate years and career, I’ve navigated the complexities of tax preparation for a diverse clientele, including corporations, trusts, estates, and individuals, evolving from a clerk to a staff accountant, and finally, a business owner.
My journey led me from purchasing Golden Income Tax & Accounting Inc. in Thomasville, AL, focusing on individual taxes, to founding HSG Accounting Inc. in Panama City, FL, aimed at supporting businesses and their owners. This path culminated in the establishment of Golden Tax Relief LLC, inspired by my personal ordeal with the IRS, where identity theft exposed me to the agency’s daunting bureaucracy. This experience, coupled with my expertise, fueled my determination to offer proactive, forward thinking tax solutions.
Golden Tax Relief was born out of a necessity to provide high-income business owners with legal avenues to minimize tax liabilities, leveraging strategic planning to enhance financial outcomes. Our mission is to craft custom tax plans that not only comply with the law but also secure substantial savings for our clients, empowering them to reinvest in their businesses and personal lives.
My academic background from Golden Gate University with an M.A. in Taxation, a Bachelor’s in Accounting from the University of Alabama, and certifications as a Certified Tax Planner (CTP) Certified Tax Coach (CTC), Tax Resolution Specialist (CTRS), and NTPI Fellow, underpins my commitment to offering informed, strategic tax services designed to navigate the complexities of tax law effectively.

Ray
Chief Operating Officer
Ray, a graduate of Auburn University, earned his degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing in 1997. His diverse professional background spans the hospice and logistics industries, where he honed his innate passion for helping others. This drive led him to IRS Trouble Solvers/Golden Tax Relief in 2020, where he now plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our rapidly growing firm.
As the Chief Operating Officer, Ray is committed to ensuring that every client receives the highest quality of service. He instills a “client-first” mindset across all team members by fostering a positive and supportive work environment. His dedication to helping taxpayers navigate and overcome their IRS challenges is evident in his leadership style and his deep commitment to both clients and staff.
Ray is based in Thomasville, AL, where he lives with his wife and continues to make significant impacts at our headquarters.
Tim
Enrolled Agent
Timothy is an Enrolled Agent here at IRS Trouble Solvers. He attended Florida State University and funded his undergraduate degree himself by working through various construction and remodeling projects. Tim then transitioned into working in accounting services taking on various public and non-profit accounting roles, eventually even becoming Senior Accountant where he was responsible for the preparation of tax returns and certain tax resolution matters. All these various experiences provided him the groundwork for his earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2013.
Finding his real passion lay in tax resolution, Tim went on to obtain his Enrolled Agent designation – the highest credential awarded by the IRS – in 2015. He joined IRS Trouble Solvers in 2018, where he has since helped clients from all walks of life resolve their IRS debt through his expertise in tax resolution. He lives in Panama City, Florida with his wife and three kids.
Sarah
Senior Tax Advisor
Sarah attended Johnston Community College in Smithfield, North Carolina, and Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina. She earned a business degree with a concentration in accounting.
Sarah brings a wealth of experience from her work in bookkeeping, tax preparation, and her extensive tenure at a CPA firm in North Carolina. At the firm, Sarah specialized in tax preparation for many business owners and assisted with various compliance audits for North Carolina government boards.
Sarah’s approach to tax planning is deeply client-focused. She is dedicated to crafting strategies that are not only advantageous for her clients and their families but also adhere strictly to compliance.
Sarah resides in North Carolina with her husband and their two beloved dogs.
